At Bright Beginnings Learning Center in Vidor, TX, our Afterschool Club is all about giving children the chance to move, play, and explore in a fun and safe environment that feels like a second home. We know school days are long, so our afternoons are designed to let kids unwind, recharge, and just enjoy being themselves.
Why Choose Our Afterschool Club?
We Pick Up from Local Schools
We provide transportation from Oak Forest Elementary and Vidor Elementary, and students from Pine Forest Elementary arrive daily by bus around 3:00 PM.
Two Snack Times, Just When They Need It
After a busy school day, we serve healthy, energizing snacks at 3:15 PM and again at 4:30 PM to keep little minds and bodies fueled.
Freedom to Move and Play
We don’t jump straight into homework as your child needs movement after sitting at school for hours! Our afternoons start with uninterrupted play in our indoor gym and large outdoor space. After sitting most of the day, they get to run, stretch, laugh, and just enjoy being active.
Creative Activities That Spark Joy
Afternoons include games, crafts, and group fun designed to help children make friends and express themselves. Every day brings something new and engaging.
Low Ratios, Big Hearts
Our staff-to-child ratio is 1 to 18, well below state licensing standards. That means more attention, stronger relationships, and a place where every child feels seen and supported.
Full-Time Care for
Schoolers During Summer!
The fun doesn’t have to stop when school’s out! School-age children can attend our club full-time, from 6:30 am - 6:00 pm during summer. New activities each week such as cooking, field trips, games, crafts, and more!
Who Is the Club For?
Our Afterschool Club is designed for school-aged children (typically ages 5–12) who need a fun, friendly place to go after school, Monday through Friday until 6:00 PM.

Afterschool Hours: Monday–Friday, school dismissal to 6:00 PM
Snacks Provided at 3:15 PM & 4:30 PM
Licensed, Experienced Staff with Low Ratios
Transportation Provided from Oak Forest Elementary & Vidor Elementary
Pine Forest students arrive by school bus at 3:00 PM
Summer Care for Schoolers
When school’s out, we’re just getting started! Our full-time summer care (6:30 AM – 6:00 PM) offers a fun-filled schedule including:
Weekly field trips
Hands-on cooking projects
Games and water play
Two crafts/projects every week
Famous artist lessons with canvas painting—each child will complete 6 original canvas artworks by summer’s end!
